Some ideas

1
Oscar is just flying around when he bombs into a red/white long thing, the hat start yapping about the idiots who put that red/white thing there. Oscar whants to know what it is and follow it up into the clouds. But that thing (leg) starts moving up very fast and kicked Oscar thought the air. Konked-out he falls on the cloudy hair of a girl called Tinka, who is dancing around.

2
Oscar find a new person to yap with, but Tinka thinks thats she finally have found a new playmate/teddy. She hugges Oscar so hard that it's hat finally crashed.

3
Oscar is just flying around when a red/white long thing bomb into him, he and the hat start yapping against the moving thing. He is trying to get attention by screeming and picking against it. Finally she comes down, pick him up, put him on her cloudy hair and go furder with walking and dancing in her own world.

Matched

Last thursday we had contact with the students in Norwich using a Skype connection. I'm working with Simon, who has made the character Oscar. The freaky bird who is also known as CP304 a scientific experiment, mixing both crows and pellicans DNA together.

I think it's a good combination, because Tinka is a bit dreamy, so Oscar needs a hard work of freaking to make her go mad.

Today we had contact trough msn and planned to show each others ideas monday morning on our weblog.

Character

Tinka a girl who is always walking with her head in the clouds, not only because of her long legs, but also because she is a dreamer. She is a little bit clumsy and a most of the time a possitive person. She has cloudy hair, what is, like the clouds, a great way to communicate with.

I work on multiplane with whatever I can drop and animate on it. Tinka is made of paper and coloured with ink.

Start Project Encounters

This is a project between an Norwich School for Art & Design (UK) and St. Joost Art Academy (Netherlands).
We have 4 weeks to make animations through internet, after that we will go to the Aurora film festival and finally meet the students from Norwich. During this festival our work will shown in the Norwich School for Art & Design.

On this site you can find my progress in this project.
